Kundalini Meditation

In these meditations the focus is on the breath and the energy in the body. It can be a challenge to sit down in meditation without first clearing the body from physical and energetic blocks as the mind can be so active. By engaging the body to open up and dropping in from the mind into the direct experience of the body, we begin to let go and find the stillness to sit in meditation.  Back to top.

Punk Rock Yoga

You may think it means one thing, but it might not. It's yoga that defies expectations, and evades definitions. Expect the unexpected! Expect to express yourself in the midst of class, and to be part of a community.  Expect to stretch the boundaries of what you think you can do.  One week you may hear punk, indie, rap or electronica, and the next it may be live saxophone music, or perhaps a cello. You might hear a favorite mellow playlist on while it's raining, or a blast of The Clash right before shavasana. You won't know til you get there.  The class is open to all levels of practitioners. It will challenge you, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned yogi. You will receive oral and visual instructions on how to do the class, and you will will sweat. You'll build strength and develop flexibility as you work to deepen your connection to your core center. Punk Rock Yoga does not mean: yoga to punk rock music. It is not yoga that excludes. Think yoga with attitude. It's yoga for real people. It's yoga for you!!! If you go in with an open mind, a willingness to go out on a limb, and a sense of adventure, you'll leave with a smile on your face.  Back to top.
